Disclosure, this was written on like day 7 of a migraine and I’m not sure I like how it’s written but I’m posting it anyway 😬
I think we can all agree that life can get pretty hectic. Whether you’re a parent, spouse, college kid, or vlogger we all have a lot going on. We get caught up in the day to day stuff and it’s really easy to lose ourselves in it. I know for me it’s mostly the same thing everyday. My day looks like this:
Some days there’s fun stuff like grocery shopping or appointments, my life is exciting am I right? After awhile doing the same thing over and over and taking care of everyone else gets mentally and physically exhausting. It’s still really easy to forget about me.
Whether it’s a bath, a lunch with friends, or for me writing and making ears we can’t forget about ourselves. You can’t take care of others and you can’t be the best you if you’re not taking care of yourself. This is something I’m personally pretty bad at but I’m trying to be better.
Mental health is so so important so please do me a favor, take that personal day, ask someone for help with the kids, take a social media break, or leave an unhealthy relationship behind. Whatever it is just take care of yourself.
- Wake up before the sun
- Get ready
- Go to work
- Go home to my younger kids
- Pick up my oldest from school
- Bedtime for the kids
- Get everything ready for tomorrow/clean
- Stay up way too late so I can watch grown up shows
- Go to bed
